The successful candidate may be a Lecturer with option to qualify for VGU Associate Professorship. He/She will be a subject matter expert in Simulation Technology and able to teach and do research in the field.

Teaching comprises lectures about advanced numerical methods for engineering systems, advanced programming concepts, high-performance computing and should reflect current research.

The candidate is expected to contribute to the development of the Computational Engineering master course program in consultation with the study program coordinator and the German partner university (Ruhr-University Bochum).
Recent fields of research include advanced discretization techniques in space and time, parallel computing, object oriented programming and special emphasis on applications to engineering systems and processes. The candidate should significantly contribute to the scientific profile of VGU. This includes comprehensive activities in fundamental as well as applied research in cooperation with industry in Vietnam. Generating externally funded research projects, supervising master theses and leading PhD students to doctoral degrees is essential.

The language for lectures and research at VGU is English.

Prerequisites for the appointment are an outstanding academic record, including publications in international, peer-reviewed journals, an excellent doctorate, as well as proven teaching experience.

The English level must be at least IELTS 7.5 or equivalent.

The demonstrated ability to secure external funding and experience in guiding PhD students is desirable. The candidate has to have proven management experiences.

** What we offer
Full-time fixed term for 3 years for lecturers and full-time fixed term for 5 years for associate professors, both with the option of extension.
